One device can restore your skin’s youthful appearance!
Did you know that sunspots, uneven pigmentation, broken capillaries and large pores can be drastically reduced in a no downtime 30 minute procedure? This procedure is Intense Pulsed Light, IPL or also called Photo-facial.
What is Intense Pulsed Light?
The IPL photo-facial is a non-ablative, broad band light that is delivered deep into the skin leaving the superficial layers untouched.
What do IPL Photo-facials treat?
IPL is a proven technology for lightening or removing sun spots or uneven pigment on the face, chest, arms and back. The heat energy from the light causes damage to the pigmentation and the body’s lymphatic system takes over to remove this damaged tissue.
IPL photo-facials create a controlled injury that stimulates the skins wound healing response causing an increase in collagen production, creating a smoother, improved texture and a decrease in pore appearance.
Skin Redness (Rosacea or broken capillaries)
Using a specific filter for red, the IPL focuses on the red in the pigmentation of the vessels, sealing dilated\broken blood vessels as well as the reduction of red acne lesions as well.
What are the treatments like?
Patients can expect a rubber band snap sensation during each pulse of the light. The average treatment time is 30-45 minutes and the treatment can cover a large area. There is little downtime with this procedure, a few days after treatment the treated area will get some darker areas that resemble coffee grinds that eventually fade and fall off within 3 to 5 days. With each treatment there will be noticeable improvements but for optimal results it is usually 3 to 6 treatment sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart.
The most important part of a safe and effective IPL treatment is properly skin typing, our staff has a thorough understanding of coordinating the settings with the individual skin type to safely achieve optimal results with each treatment.
